Rick Barnes is known as a men's college basketball head coach. He is most famous for coaching the Tennessee Volunteers of the Southeastern College Basketball Conference.

Background and Career

Richard Dale Barnes was born in July 17, 1954 and experienced childhood in Hickory, North Carolina Barnes' success and prosperity at Texas as a basketball coach came as a welcome surprise to the campus that was used to being a customary football powerhouse.

He started enthusiasm for basketball at the college and all through the state.

Barnes was employed by the Texas school in April 1998, and the basketball program promptly started to change.
